Further, the Intonarumori, as a manifestation of Futurist ideas on noise and music, attempted to compound the innumerable sounds of human existence, and especially the sounds of industrialisation: when we hear the Intonarumori, then, we are also hearing an abstraction of the 'modern' city of 1913"
