Flyers and Exhibition Guide
If Only… was a relay exhibition taking place in the former boyschool on 1e Jan van Campenstraat in Amsterdam. The relay was started by the initiator Yasmine Ostendorf inviting one artist (Zoro Feigl) to participate. This artist was also instructed to invite the next artist, and in this fashion the exhibition was built up. When three artists had been chosen and their work installed, a first opening was held. For the second opening there was work by six artists, and for the final opening there was work by nine artists in the space.
The design of the invitations embraced the idea of an exhibition being created while being open to the public: The first invitation had one colour and quite some space left for things to come, the second flyer added new information —in a new colour— on top of the old invitation. The third flyer was treated with a golden layer celebrating the final opening.
The Exhibition Guide was made
for the final opening and contains a presentation of the relay (who invited who),
a short introduction by
Yasmine Ostendorf, and a floorplan.
